ColorSync 2.5, the latest version of Apple's color management
architecture for the Mac OS, will be available beginning in 1998.
(At that time, it will be downloadable from Apple's web site.)
ColorSync provides tools for accurate desktop color calibration,
proofing, and reproduction in all areas of the graphic, publishing,
and printing industries. It continues to be available with the
Color Matching Method (CMM) codeveloped with Linotype-Hell.

NEW RELEASES
The beta version of Newton Toolkit (NTK) 1.6.4 provides support
for gray-scale pictures and new screen sizes found on the MessagePad
2000 and eMate 300 devices. The beta version also includes a new
Toolkit Application (v. 1.3) and documentation (NTK_1.pdf), which
describes the use of the new features and APIs. This is a complete
installation of NTK, but you can download the application by itself
if you have NTK 1.6.4 and its supporting files installed.

This alpha version of the updated Desktop Integration Libraries
(DILs) allows developers of applications for either the Mac OS
or Windows operating systems to directly synchronize data between
their applications and a Newton device.
